Latin America. Audio-Technica announced the availability of its new U841R omnidirectional condenser surface microphone. A new addition to Audio-Technica's acclaimed line of UniPoint® microphones, the U841R is an upgrade to A-T's popular U841A microphone, which it replaces.
While maintaining the feature set that has made the U841A a successful tool, the new U841R microphone has been enhanced with the addition of internal electronic components that do not require an external power module. The microphone features a built-in TA3M output connector and includes a 7.6m TA3F to XLRM cable.
The U841R provides extraordinarily intelligible audio reproduction in a super-compact, small design. Equipped with UniGuard® RFI protection technology, this omnidirectional condenser surface microphone is designed to capture audio for clear and highly intelligible sound reinforcement, professional recording, television and conferencing in surface mount applications. The U841R microphone has a 360° pickup angle and is powered by phantom power.
Features of the U841R microphone:
- UniGuard RFI protection technology that offers outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference
- Small diameter capsule close to the surface, which eliminates phase distortion and provides clear performance and high intensity
- Robust molten metal housing and pads that minimize the coupling of vibration from the surface to the microphone
- Low-profile design with low-reflectance black finish for minimal visibility
- Works with phantom power
