Mexico. In the recent version of Soundcheck Xpo, the company Audio-Technica presented its latest innovations, among which the new generations of its wireless systems of the 3000 and 5000 series stand out, as well as a handheld transmitter of the 6000 series.
One of the highlights is the fourth generation of the 3000 series True Diversity wireless system, which offers users the power and flexibility they need to operate on a very congested UHF spectrum.
With a tuning range of 60 MHz, which is more than double that of previous versions, the new 3000 series systems are available in two frequency bands: DE2 (470–530 MHz) and EE1 (530–590 MHz) Frequencies can be easily scanned and selected at the receiver and from there synchronized with the transmitter via infrared (IR) synchronization functionality.
The 3000 series allows users to even define a backup frequency that can be quickly accessed by pressing the transmitter's multifunction button in the event of unexpected interference.
Available system configurations include an ATW-R3210 receiver along with an ATW-T3201 or ATW-T3202 handheld transmitter. The ATW-T3201 transmitter is equipped with Audio-Technica's new cH-style four-pin screw connector for secure connection to lavalier and headband microphones or A-T cH-style cables.
The ATW-T3202 transmitter comes with a capsule for interchangeable ATW-C510 dynamic cardioid or CONDENSer microphones, and its standard thread adapter allows use with other compatible A-T capsules. Both transmitters have sturdy, metal housings and are powered by two AA batteries.
The charging terminals of both transmitters are compatible with the ATW-CHG3 and ATW-CH3N network-pluggable smart charging bases (sold separately) for recharging NiMH batteries. Antenna power is available for powered antennas and other in-line radio frequency devices. The ground disconnect switch helps eliminate audible buzzing caused by mass loops.
The system features balanced and unbalanced audio output connectors.
