Colombia. One of the novelties in matters of screens during this year, has been the launch, by different manufacturers, of touch screens, presented as game tables or support for education. But one company decided to find them another app.
Putting all its experience in control rooms, the Cosmos Integrated Solutions Group, CSI, developed with its engineers a system that allows to convert these screens into a strategy table, specifically aimed at use by military forces.
Darío Ordoñez, manager of the CSI Colombia Group, explained to AVI Latin America that the idea was born from a conversation with a military man, in which they asked him to create a solution that would allow them to replace the role and pencil in the planning of strategies or operations.
Using a processor designed by the company's engineers, and the use of any map system available on the network, such as Google Maps or Earth, the strategy table allows a precise geographical location, both in cities and rural areas, and draw strategies that can be saved and observed later.
In addition, these strategy tables can be connected directly with the screens of any control room of the military forces and in this way share live and live information with those who must execute the operation.
Darío Ordoñez indicated that this strategy table is currently being presented to the different authorities of the countries where CSI has a presence and stressed that they have also had interest from companies to make advertising campaigns on specific products, since four people can interact at the table at the same time without problems.
