International. Audio Precision, the recognized standard in sound check, released the latest version, version 4.1, of its APX500 audio test software. The release offers a number of enhancements, including input bandwidth on all channels of its two-channel (APx555 and APx525) and sixteen-channel (APx586) analyzers.
This update allows users of the APx555, APx525, and APx586 audio analyzers to access their system's maximum input bandwidth across all test system channels. With respect to the APx586, the v4.1 software allows up to 90 kHz of input bandwidth on all sixteen channels.
Additional enhancements to the APx software include a more flexible filter configuration option in the signal path, allowing for a wider range of cut-off frequencies and improving the user's ability to fully explore the device under test. It also gives users greater control over the acoustic response time window. This allows for accurate speaker measurements even in the presence of high-level reflections.
