Colombia. D2L (formerly "Desire2Learn") announced that it connects teachers and students with Brightspace Pulse, the first mobile app that allows students to receive timely class information and prepare.
Designed to inform students about their workload, schedule, and grades Brightspace Pulse gives students what they need so they can manage their study hours, priorities, and workload. At a glance, students can view their classes to see what readings, papers, and tests are coming up as well as add their personal achievements.
Students can also customize their workload view with weekly, monthly, or semester viewing. With note notifications, students can choose when and where to reveal their grade avoiding uncomfortable situations or curious friends.
With Brightspace Pulse, teachers also benefit from the ability to send real-time alerts and notifications such as "homework to deliver tomorrow," "classroom change," or "guest speaker" directly to students' mobile phones. The new functionality will increase productivity by allowing them to make fewer reminders and more teaching. In addition, students can share grades and notifications of news with other applications (Mail, Messages, Evernote, Twitter and Facebook).
Brightspace Pulse is a free app for D2L customers in continuous delivery. It is available worldwide in English.
