Latin America. Every day more Latin American professionals are becoming aware of the importance of training for the development of the industry, and for this InfoComm offers a wide catalog of education in English, Spanish and Portuguese with courses created to suit their needs.
Online training is the most widely used in the region, it has courses in the languages mentioned above, which are available to start immediately and access when it is most convenient for the student.
There are already several companies in Latin America that are implementing from different areas of the company, such as Human Resources, training plans for their employees, as well as for the new people to hire, based on the free online courses to which all InfoComm members are entitled.
The online courses are:
- Quick Start in the Audiovisual Industry: aimed at those who are starting in the AV industry. This course allows you to explore and get to know the Audiovisual sector, discover organizations, jobs and technologies; as well as industry segments, VA disciplines and professional relations; in addition to learning the fundamentals of audiovisual systems and special applications.
- The Fundamentals of the AV Industry for Technical and Sales Professionals: online course that provides an introduction to the fundamentals of technology used daily in the audiovisual industry to technicians, customer service personnel, managers, among others; who will be able to use these foundations to new technologies and applications as they are developed. Knowing how things work will help them solve problems and find the needs of their customers (or their own).
- RAVT: Recognized Audiovisual Technician: it is an exam, online, to demonstrate your knowledge of common vocabulary and audiovisual technology. This 100-question exam is taken online and not at an assessment center. The approval score is 80% or higher and generates a certificate that is sent via email. The content is based entirely on the online course The Fundamentals of the AV Industry for Technical and Sales Professionals. It should be noted that it is not a certification exam.
- Online CTS Preparation: Online course for those who are preparing to obtain the InfoComm CTS credential, as well as for current CTS who wish to remember their knowledge. This course allows you to explore the format of the CTS® exam, learn strategies for taking exams and what you can expect on the day of the exam; know all the content areas and aspects of the exam; review the creation, operation and maintenance of AV solutions; in addition to studying audiovisual management activities and identifying specific areas in which you should concentrate your study time.
