The Extron AXI 016 is a 16-output, half-rack-wide audio expansion interface for DMP 128 Plus audio DSP systems. It connects to the EXP expansion port of the DMP 128 Plus, transforming this 8-output array into a 24-output device. Because all high-throughput, low-latency DSP processing is performed on the connected DMP 128 Plus, no separate configuration is needed for the AXI 016. The AXI 016 audio expansion interface also supports audio DSP systems with a DTP CrossPoint switching matrix.
The AXI 016 offers 16 analog outputs in a compact 1U and half-rack width housing; In addition, it provides AV system designers with a powerful tool to create DMP 128 Plus systems that support larger distributed audio applications, which were not previously possible using a single DMP 128 Plus DSP processor.
