Gefen launches the new Switching ToolBox Matrix for HDMI 4Kx2K. On the one hand there is the Matrix 4x4, which sends any of the four high-definition sources to any of the four screens or projectors and supports resolutions up to 4K with 3D Tv pass-through; and on the other side is the Matrix 6x2 that sends any of the six sources for two different high-definition devices.
Both help build 4K infrastructures, designed for HD displays and UHD content; include Gefen's FST (Fast Switching Technology), which improves switching speed between sources during the HDCP authentication process; HBR (high bit rate) and lossless audio formats such as LPCM 7.1, Dolby True HD, and DTS-HD Master Audio, are delivered alongside the video.
Backward compatibility with 1080p Full HD resolutions makes both solutions a useful addition to a new or existing high-definition system, geared towards immediate deployment and future UHD compatibility. Mini-USB and IP ports make it easy to update the field when the new firmware is available.
