Between October 27 and 29, the 2021 version of infoComm Show was held in Orlando, a fair that marked the return of face-to-face fairs of the professional audiovisual industry after the suspension of mass events due to the pandemic.
While it is true that it was an atypical fair, starting with the date, since it is traditionally held in June, it was smaller in its exhibition space and had fewer visitors, the effort and interest of the organizers, exhibitors and visitors to carry out the fair must be recognized, that the easy thing would have been to cancel it.
AVI Latin America was in Orlando and had the opportunity to speak with manufacturers, exhibitors, as well as with integrators and distributors from the region who toured it. The first thing worth noting is the number of visitors from Latin America, which, with the exception of Brazilians due to the restrictions on entry to the United States, were more than everyone expected.
Secondly, it was gratifying to hear from the voice of integrators and manufacturers in the region that the recovery of the sector during 2021, after the paralysis of the previous year, has been great. There are many projects that have been reactivated, as well as new projects to adapt the spaces to the return and the "new reality".
Undoubtedly, InfoComm Show was a space to reunite with friends and colleagues, confirm first-hand the recovery of the industry and open the way for the AV fair circuit in 2022.
