Panasonic participated as a sponsor with mapping projection technology in the Event of Light that took place in the Roman Colosseum, cultural heritage of humanity and representative piece of Italian history, which was held as part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy.
The show, whose main theme was "Love for Humanity, Love for the Earth" was held from May 11 to 13. The projection towards the ancient ruins was made from the Roman Forum, located next to the enclosure and thanks to the technology of nine Panasonic projectors model PT-DZ21 of 20,000 lumens of brilliance and DLP technology, the outer wall of the Colosseum was completely "painted" to send a message to the world about the importance of loving and respecting people and the earth.
The program of the celebration consisted of a projection lasting 10 minutes, of colorful images with representative symbols of both countries and with the word love in several languages, accompanied by a musical selection that managed to transmit peace and harmony to the tourists present. For 3 days, the presentation was held after sunset, with repetitions during the last four hours of the day.
The event was produced by renowned lighting designers Motoko Ishii, a design icon in Japan whose work has excelled in the field of urban landscape lighting in the world and her daughter Akari Lisa Ishii, who designed Tokyo Tower, the Great Akashi Strait Bridge and is part of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games as an advisor in the Lighting Design department.
During the reception of the celebration were present the Akishino princes of Japan, Italian government officials, Laurent Abadie, CEO of Panasonic Europe and representative media.
