Mexico. Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour arrived in Mexico on February 15 after visiting 87 cities in the United States, filling the BBVA Bancomer Stadium in Monterrey.
Corey FitsGerald's powerful and evocative lighting design accentuated the superstar's performance, creating a magical effect that permeated the atmosphere of the afternoon, and which included 88 Chauvet Professional Maverick MK2 Wash moving heads provided by Serpro Productions.
"We are very pleased to have provided the lighting for this concert. We recently invested in the acquisition of the Maverick MK2 Wash because we were looking for equipment that could provide the brightness and color reproduction necessary for large productions, and also had the versatility to work with a wide range of applications and musical styles, "said Renato Betancourt, General Director of Serpro Productions.
Equipped with 12 40 Watt Osram RGBW LEDs, the Maverick MK2 Wash meets the brightness and color reproduction needs that Renato seeks, and the wide zoom range of 7° to 49° provides the flexibility to widely cover the different areas of any scenario. All these features played an important role in the Bieber concert, where the Maverick MK2 Wash were the main protagonists on the structure in the center of the stage, along with other units arranged on the deck of the platform.
The Mavericks were used to make light baths from behind for Bieber and his group of dancers, and also to flood the atmosphere and the stage with intense light baths throughout the concert," said Edi Sosa, Head of Lighting at Serpro Producciones. "After Monterrey, Justin Bieber's tour will visit other cities in Mexico, Latin America, Asia and Africa. We are proud that their 2017 tour has started here in Monterrey, and with our lighting."
