Brazil. On March 21, PROAVBR was presented in Brazil, a new association initially formed by 13 AV technology manufacturers with a presence in the country, which seeks to work for the solid development of the local professional audiovisual industry.
Gabriel Gonçalves, Regional Business Manager of Epson in Brazil, told AVI LATINOAMÉRICA that in order to have greater momentum and capacity for action, the new association was born as the sectoral chapter of audio, video and connectivity of the Brazilian Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry, Abinee.
"Our goal is to achieve synergy and a more integrated work between AVPro manufacturers in Brazil, join efforts to have all the specific information of the local market, provide training to the market to raise the quality of AV professionals and have a relationship with the government in favor of technical standards on VA," said Gabriel Gonçalves.
The founding manufacturers of PROAVBR are: APC, Audio Technica, Barco, BenQ, Christie, Epson, Harman, Kramer, Legrand, Mauell, Nardelli, NEC, Samsung. And they are in talks with more manufacturers to join this initiative.
Finally, on the plans for this year, Gabriel Gonçalves said that in addition to looking for new members, the association will have three workshops in São Paulo during the second semester, which will have an educational component and product presentation.
