Chile. The Peñaflorina Week, organized by the Municipality of Peñaflor, in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago de Chile, is a festival held recently that featured the presentation of different national bands every day as the main act, including Inti-Illimani, Gepe and his dance corps, Lucybell, Natalino and Chico Trujillo, among others.
To bring quality sound to festival attendees, the organizers chose Consca, a company located in Santiago de Chile with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, supplying audio, lighting, projection and generator sets for a variety of events.
In total there were six days of shows - each with an audience of between 5,000 and 10,000 people - and four days of theatrical performances - for approximately 1,000 people each - all outdoors.
On stage for these shows, Consca employed his Powersoft amplifiers extensively. All active monitoring mixes were performed using four-channel Powersoft M50Q amplifiers, while the PA system was powered with Powersoft M30D, K2 and K20.
The sound system traveled between three different points of the municipality, changing for each occasion the predictive analysis because all the places had a different acoustics.
Thus, most of the amplifiers were installed under the PA tower in two racks, while another rack with 12 units was mounted on the stage for the mix of monitors.
For this event, each participating band brought their own sound engineer, but Comercial Consca contributed two of its technicians to align and tune up the sound system after each predictive analysis.
"While they did not know the system, but trusting Comercial Consca, the engineers were encouraged to test the system and the opinion was unanimous. They were amazed with the quality of definition, energy and reliability of each amplifier, without noise and with incredible power," said Luis López, owner of Consca. "There have already been several engineers who ask us what we are moving the system with, we show them the Powersoft amplifiers and they are surprised."
It should be noted that Comercial Consca currently only has the Powersoft brand for its power stages. "I am very happy with the Powersoft amplifiers we acquired through distributor CyVmusic. Its operation has been up to what we expected," said Luis.
