Brazil. For four days, the Expo Center Norte will be the main meeting point for companies and professionals in the lighting market, who will be able to experience news, products, services and a programming of fundamental content for the generation of new business, professional updating and relationship with customers and partners, in the 16th edition of Expolux.
In the case of Brazil, more than 27 thousand professionals and with a turnover of R$3.35 billion in 2016 (according to data from ABILUX - Brazilian Association of the Lighting Industry), the event is the main meeting of the lighting branch in Latin America. There will be more than 400 exhibitors distributed in an area of 36 thousand m², contemplating 14 sectors of lighting, and expectation of receiving more than 25 thousand visitors.
"We will promote an ideal scenario for our exhibitors and visitors to encourage business in which lighting is the primary product and/or service. Expolux is a consolidated fair, with 21 years of history, and in 2018 it will have an event even more focused on excellence, results and new alliances," explained Iván Romão, product manager of Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado.
In 2018 Expolux will be segmented into two profiles - Lighting Design and Technical - with exclusive tickets and a sectorized plant, so that visitors can follow all trends in a more immersive way. For the realization of business, essence of the fair, initiatives such as the Premium Club Plus, Buyers Club and Business Meetings will be tools to bring suppliers of the main national and international buyers.
Through the Sands of Knowledge (Lighting Design, Retail and Technical Projects), simpoled will be held, a symposium organized by ABILUX with the aim of raising the level of discussions on the lighting sector, promoting technical, technological and practical knowledge of the most diverse areas of application with the presence of internationally recognized speakers. In this way, the activities generate more dynamism and offer a unique experience to its visitors.
In addition to business, the fair has experiences that present and stimulate innovation, such as the Decor Prime Show, a sample of design projects that brings together trends and applications available in the lighting market; the Archathon Project, where newly trained professionals in the area of architecture and lighting need, in three days, to create an innovative project; a Gallery of Technical Projects and a Luminaire Design Exhibition.
Making visitors travel back in time, the fair will present the History of Light and a timeline with important moments of this invention. It will also feature the winners of the 2017 Abilux Design Award for Luminaires.
