Latin America. NEC Display Solutions announced the world's first cinema projector that integrates a modular laser light system with a projector head. The NEC NC2402ML projector uses a modular approach that allows movie theaters to plug in the right light module based on the required brightness they need.
This functionality is crucial for adapting projectors based on screen size, ensuring that each projector can be deployed even in the largest auditoriums. The new modular light concept is the perfect choice for places that want to be flexible for an optimal light requirement.
The NC2402ML combines the NEC NP-02HD projector head with the 24,000 lm modular light module of three interchangeable light modules (24,000lm, 20,000lm and 18,000lm). By having everything in one box, the modular approach makes it quick and easy to achieve the desired light output for different screens and scenarios.
The new cinema projector uses RB laser technology, which provides sharp, almost stainless images, combining all the benefits of RGB laser technology with lower capital expenditure and operating expenses. Cinemas can save even more, as the NC2402ML can be used with the NEC NC2000 series of projector lenses.
The new NEC cinema projector will be available with a 24,000 lm brightness module from August 2019. The 20,000l and 18,000lm light modules will soon be available.
