Mexico. Panasonic de México, through its B2B Solutions Group, is one of the sponsors of the seventh edition of the Doqumenta Documentary Film Festival 2019, in which more than 90 films from 23 countries will be exhibited and different workshops, conferences, conversations and concerts focused on the dissemination of documentary cinema will be presented. Doqumenta 2019 will be held from August 16 to 24, in different venues in the city of Querétaro.
The programming of Doqumenta 2019 is divided into eight sections ranging from an attractive National and International Official Selection, to documentary films for children or the FEM program, with stories directed by women.
Many of these films will be shown in public spaces, such as the Plaza de Armas, where hundreds of spectators are expected to enjoy the festival's offerings. In these outdoor exhibitions, Panasonic's PT-DZ870 projector will be used, a 1-chip DLP equipment with 8,500 lumens performance, which will display the image of the documentaries with the color, texture and brightness thought by its filmmakers.
In addition, Panasonic will offer the conference Using the Cinema Camera, given by the experienced Sergio Noriega, Deputy Director of Sales of panasonic's B2B Solutions Group, who will talk about the use of the innovative AU-EVA1 and share user cases of this compact Panasonic cinema camera. The interested public can attend for free on Saturday, August 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Queretano Center of the Image, located in Benito Juárez Sur 56, in the Center of Querétaro.
"The Doqumenta festival has aroused the interest of Queretaro filmmakers in documentary cinema, so every year we see more productions of this genre. That is why we seek alliances with technology companies such as Panasonic, which not only support the organization of the festival, but also share their experiences and news with the creative community of our city, "said Aarón García del Real, director of the Organizing Committee of Doqumenta 2019.
For the organizers of Doqumenta, the 2019 edition will seek to send the message that documentary cinema is a window for solidarity and empathy, an opportunity to unite the community through the eyes of the characters, feel through their reality, reflect on their struggles and be inspired to transform the immediate. The Poster of Doqumenta 2019 expresses this idea by using threads that are interwoven to form the logo of the festival, showing that documentary cinema is a space where the paths meet.
