Latin America. Users of the Sonos system will be able to enjoy the more than six thousand hours of programs and podcasts available through Convoy Network, the largest independent platform for Spanish-language audio content in Latin America.
To celebrate this fact, Convoy Network and Sonos have decided to co-produce the mini-series "The Story of Sound", whose first podcast episode is ready to be heard immediately.
Created in 2016, by the announcer and film director Olallo Rubio, Convoy Network has established itself as a subscription platform (app available on the App Store and Google Play) that offers a wide variety of formats and genres ranging from music, cinema or pop culture, to talk shows, documentaries, humor, politics and opinion.
To celebrate this partnership, Convoy Network makes available, free of charge and for a limited time, its full range of content, including the popular Tristekorno, Poderoso or the Olallo Rubio Podcast, for users of Sonos speakers worldwide. To listen to them, simply add the Convoy Network service to the Sonos app and you're good to go.
The arrival of Convoy Network to Sonos is accompanied by the co-production of "The History of Sound", a mini documentary series of six episodes in podcast that covers from the hypothetical first sound produced by the Big Bang to its reproduction in the most sophisticated audio systems, through its influence on life on our planet, and its various applications in science, culture, art and entertainment.
With biweekly installments, thirty minutes long and mixed in Dolby Atmos, each episode promises to be an auditory experience that will awaken the imagination of the listener so that, through illustrative examples and sound environments, he can understand abstract concepts.
Olallo Rubio highlights the team that developed the project, from the creative, research and script work by the musician and rock journalist, Iván Nieblas, or the voices of Edgar David Aguilera and Yadira Aedo. "In addition, in this series we have the luxury of having an audio designer for first-class cinema, such as Javier Umpierrez, dedicated to the realization and mixing of the podcast," says the co-creator and narrator of "The History of Sound".
Episodes of the mini-series "The Story of Sound" will be available to all Convoy Network subscribers, both on Sonos and any other device, starting this December 3.
