Chauvet Professional launched its Rouge Outcast 1 luminaire

chauvetLatin America. Following the straight and narrow path rarely leads to bold innovations. Most often, the most revolutionary breakthroughs arise when the convention is annulled and new routes are charted. This has been the philosophy that has guided the development of Chauvet Professional's Rouge Outcast 1 BeamWash.

In a true "Outcast" fashion, the new COMPACT luminaire with IP65 rating, weighing only 9.16 kg, leaves aside preconceived notions, resulting in a beam /wash that works as an incomparable machine for the eyes, courtesy of a unique, independent and pixel-mapped LED outer ring.

"The Rogue Outcast 1 BeamWash breaks new ground," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. "By going beyond the standard beam/wash concept to include an outer ring, we have been able to offer designers compact, yet powerful equipment that opens up a world of design possibilities."

Comprised of 97 RGB LEDs, the pixel-mapped outer ring features 12 control zones and can run independently of the central pixel beam/wash. An invisible filter hides the outer ring when not in use, so the equipment appears and functions as a pure beam/wash.

Designers can control background color and foreground effects independently on the outer edge. This allows them to create complex multi-colored appearances on the hoop, either with pixel mapping or using the luminaire's extensive library of built-in effects.

The center of the Rogue Outcast 1 BeamWash consists of seven bright 45-watt RGBW LEDs capable of producing an output of 4,073 lumens. The advanced optics built into the design of the equipment results in an excellent combination of colors and narrow beam effects. (A zoom range of 3.9 ْ to 55ْ ensures maximum coverage.)

Extremely fast, with smooth 540 ْ rotation movements and 260ْ tilt, the Rogue Outcast 1 Beam Wash is loaded with high-performance features. These include 16-bit dimming of the master dimmer and individual colors. There are six different dimming modes for advanced control.

Other standout features on the versatile equipment include red shift (red emulated), selectable PWM configurations for streaming applications, remote access via RDM, calibrated white selectable for 7,500K at full output, simple and complex DMX channel profiles, and pre-built programs for the outer LED edge.

The robustly built luminaire helps streamline installation and reduces container costs. Its distinctive-looking black-coated aluminum-magnesium die-cast aluminum-magnesium casing and IP65 rating make it ideal for festivals and outdoor venues, as well as in sites, such as nightclubs, with high show needs.

Ideal for creating dynamic images on various walls, audience washes, crossover patterns and backlighting, the Rogue Outcast 1 BeamWash will be a valuable addition to virtually any design.
