chauvetLatin America. In a move that will significantly expand its capabilities to serve the global film, studio and broadcast markets, Chauvet acquired Kino Flo, a company of LED lighting systems and color science technologies, a multi-award-winning manufacturer of lighting systems for film and television production.

"This represents an important step for our company in our ongoing mission to expand our lighting capabilities for broadcasts, studios and films," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. "Kino Flo has a long tradition of innovation and a commitment to excellence, which makes the company a perfect fit with Chauvet's philosophy. We are excited to invest in the future of Kino Flo and leverage its technologies, while adding resources to accelerate product development and commercialization."

Kino Flo will continue to serve its customers from its Burbank, California offices. Founded in 1987, Kino Flo has developed a number of innovations in color technology and won an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Award for its development of cool arrangements based on color-correcting tungsten tubes and daylight balanced light. Kino Flo's LED tubes, light panels and True Match® firmware are combined with CHAUVET Professional's extensive collection of ellipsoidal, fresnel, torque, cyclorama and special effects equipment that have become increasingly popular in streaming applications.

Frieder Hochheim, founder of Kino Flo, and who will continue to lead Kino Flo, said: "Based on our long-standing shared commitment to our customers and cultural alignment, I am confident that our customers will benefit from our new partnership. The combined solutions of Kino Flo and Chauvet have unlimited possibilities."
