Latin America. The integration of Shap/NEC into a single company moves forward with a new marketing organization that will take full advantage of the best offerings from the NEC and Sharp brands in the market.
According to information released by the company, in recent months, the teams of Sharp NEC Display Solutions of America (SNDSA) and Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) have developed a new approach to help their customers.
As a second step in creating stronger value for customers, SNDSA and SIICA management has been studying how to leverage the strengths of resources in both organizations.
"Our goal is to utilize the greater capabilities that each company represents and combine them into a single, more powerful team that drives profitable growth through an efficient operating model. All areas of the organizations were studied: Sales and Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Business Operations, Service/Support and IT to determine the best way to move forward together to achieve our common goal," said Mike Marusic, President and CEO of Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America and Todd Bouman, President and CEO of Sharp NEC Display Solutions of America.
Based on discussions and analysis, they decided on the following changes to the organization as of February 1, 2022.
Sales and Marketing: Combine Pro AV's marketing and sales teams to intensify the focus on the end-user customer and Pro AV channel. Sales of the SIICA Pro AV channel will work alongside sales of the SNDSA channel as a single team under the leadership of Betsy Larson (SNDSA). Pro AV's distribution account management will be consolidated under the leadership of John Sheehan (SIICA), who will also continue to lead Sharp channel sales for other product categories. In line with the unification of the sales structure, the Pro AV product marketing teams will integrate and report to Jennifer Cheh (SNDSA). Todd Bouman (SNDSA) will lead the sales and marketing efforts of the Pro AV business for the NEC and Sharp brands with Pro AV's channel sales and marketing functions reporting directly to him and the Pro AV distribution business with dotted line reporting.
Finance/Accounting and Operations: A common system and logistics model is being implemented that will enable greater efficiency and drive overall cost savings. To realize these savings, SNDSA will rely on SIICA for administrative support in finance/accounting, order management, logistics and IT. This provides better resource utilization and economies of scale in both the display and printer businesses. As part of this effort, they will implement a unified system architecture and combined fulfillment and logistics operations using Sharp's ordering and logistics systems you are familiar with today. The planned release date was February 1, 2022. This will provide a single face to the customer, which will simplify the business model and generate efficiencies in companies.
Canada: To better align with Sharp's regional sales model, SNDSA Canada's business will move to Sharp Canada. Sharp has a well-established Canadian sales office that will provide a closer connection with the customer and provide greater reach in the overall market. SNDSA will continue to support Sharp Canada from a product, marketing and service perspective.
"We are confident that by combining the Sharp and Sharp/NEC teams into a unified go-to-market structure, we will be able to better serve you and the market at large. We look forward to sharing more details of this new approach in the coming weeks," both presidents concluded.
