International. Hideaki Onishi has been named as Christie's new president and CEO. With more than 30 years of experience in various roles within Christie's parent company Ushio, Inc., Hideaki will immediately join his new responsibility with the goal of leading the company into a new era. Hideaki replaces Kazuhisa Kamiyama who, after her time at Christie, will return to Japan to join a new position at the Ushio headquarters.

Kazuhisa's work has been crucial in piloting Christie's ship and overcoming the successive challenges that the sector and the economy in general have had to face in recent years. I plan to start a dialogue soon with all levels of Christie's team around the world. The task ahead of me and the challenge of maintaining Christie's continued growth fill me with excitement. It's a very promising time to join this company."
Hideaki began working for Ushio in 1989. Well known for his extraordinary salesmanship, throughout his career he has also demonstrated impressive management skills. He has extensive experience in a wide range of roles, having successfully performed in Ushio Lighting, Taiwan Ushio Lighting, Adtech Engineering, Ushio Asia Pacific (Singapore), Vietnam, Thailand and Ushio Europe. Among all these responsibilities, his management of the manufacture and sales of the printed circuit board (PCB) exhibition machines arrived in 2012 at Ushio after its acquisition of ADTEC Engineering stands out. The next five years were characterized by a strengthening of the business that culminated in the appointment of Hideaki, in 2016, as president of Ushio Asia Pacific. Hideaki comes to Christie after holding the presidency of Ushio Europe.
