Colombia. Keeping firm its commitment to innovation and its purpose to continue supporting digital transformation in the country, Cisco announces the appointment of Sandra Eslava as the new Country Manager for Colombia.
"I'm very excited to take on this role. It is a key moment to lead the cultural change that we are experiencing in the country as a result of hybrid work – and all that this entails – in terms of network infrastructure, applications and security. At Cisco Colombia we are committed to leading and accompanying these initiatives with innovation in our technological solutions, to respond to the challenges of our customers in each industry and generate positive social impact," explained Eslava.
Sandra Eslava's management will be aimed at supporting three major trends in digitalization at a global level: hybrid cloud, hybrid work and observability. With this, Cisco wants to be an enabler to promote the adoption and expansion of these trends in the country, seeking to take advantage of technology at the service of users.
For his part, Gonzalo Valverde, Managing Director for Multi-Country Region (MCR), a region to which Colombia belongs and includes all the markets of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the exception of Brazil and Mexico, indicated that "the appointment of Sandra Eslava is of great relevance not only for Cisco Colombia but for our MCR region, as she will help us to consistently address the solutions we bring to market. His experience and leadership will be key in the work we do with customers, partners, the public sector, academia, and all audiences important to Cisco."
For Cisco, Colombia is a leading country in digital innovation in Latin America. Therefore, through initiatives such as the Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program, which is now three years old in the country, it seeks to provide accompaniment to academies, public entities and the private sector to promote digital talent and innovative solutions for the growth of companies. This and other Cisco investment and training programs, such as the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) and Networking Academy, will continue to be strengthened in Colombia, with a view to continuing to promote the development of talent in digital skills and promote, hand in hand with the private sector, the creation of employment in these skills.
Sandra Eslava is an Electronic Engineer from the Pontifical Bolivarian University, in Bucaramanga, and has a Specialization in Process Control from the same University.
