Latin America. Today, Sonos (Nasdaq: SONO) introduced the first voice experience created specifically for listening on Sonos. Designed with privacy in mind, Sonos Voice Control is the easiest way to control your music and lets you fully manage your Sonos system using nothing but your voice.
"Sonos is committed to delivering new experiences that easily connect users to the content they love," said Joseph Dureau, Sonos' vice president of voice experience. "One of the most natural ways to connect with your music is through your voice, but when we talked to our customers, we realized that many are concerned about privacy which makes many decide not to use voice control. Built exclusively for listening on Sonos and designed with privacy at its core, Sonos Voice Control delivers the Sonos app experience using just your voice."
Sonos Voice Control works on all Sonos speakers that have voice control, processing requests entirely on the device. No audio or transcripts are sent to the cloud; nor are they stored nor can they be read or heard by anyone. Available in new voice-controlled products and through a free update for existing users, Sonos Voice Control supports Sonos Radio, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Pandora at launch. Other services and regions will be added soon.
Fast and accurate control of your music and Sonos system
Sonos Voice Control finds the music you want to listen to, processing requests entirely on the device. Local processing speeds up response times and facilitates additional orders. All you need is a "Hey Sonos" and you can continue without needing other trigger words. As with the Sonos app, you can control music and speakers in any room, easily move music around the house, like and save your favorite songs to your personal music library, and more.
