Latin America. InfoComm Show in Las Vegas will be the stage for the company Datapath to present the latest version of its complete ecosystem solution for control rooms AETRIA, which includes full compatibility with all the modules of the brand in what has to do with graphic management, distribution of audio and video by IP, Dynamic KVM over IP and the unique solution in the medium called Aetria Work Station through which all sources, including physical ones, are brought to the room operator console for monitoring, control and collaboration through the personal Video Wall concept.
Regarding the Latin American market for Datapath, Rafael Herrera, Latam Regional Sales Manager of the company, explained to AVI Latin America that in regard to its main market of video processing for video control with emphasis on the command and control vertical of Videowall, the first quarter of the year was generally quite slow.
"We not only experience this situation in Latin America but globally. I understand that in general there was a slowdown in investments in the sector, and projects were also affected by the problem in the supply chain in semiconductors that, although we directly have not affected our delivery times, if to other manufacturers such as displays, and without the availability of these, integrators do not formalize orders for control systems and other products that depend on screens for facilities," he added.
Despite this panorama, the company has closed projects in industrial areas, in verticals such as utilities and mining companies in the region. He recently closed an interesting project due to the number of rooms to intervene through one of the integrators in Colombia for the company Promigas. Likewise, some projects in the industrial sector in Mexico and Chile.
Finally, he indicated that "We are very positive for the second half of the year, although we know that there are still external factors that influence the distribution chain, transport and prices, we have a good number of active projects in the Pipe Line with enough confirmations of closures for the end of this quarter of the year and for the second semester. The most important thing is that even in the most difficult times experienced in the last two years, our communication and relationships with our distribution chain has been constant, and it is one of the most important things for us, as this shows the trust and commitment with our partners."
