United States. Brick, a nightlife venue in Miami, found the ideal sound solution, to provide the perfect environment for this type of establishment, by updating its system with DAS Audio's E11EVEN Sound equipment.
To understand the sound needs of this facility, the first thing is to understand that Brick is a prominent nightclub bar in the Wynwood district, which offers its audience "a truly unique nightlife experience" in a space that stands out for its "open format and hip hop music from some of the best DJs in Miami", accompanied by an offer of varied food and drinks.
The company in charge of performing the sound renewal was Willy-Tech Services of Miami, an installer of audiovisual systems that is certified by E11EVEN Sound, who received the accompaniment of John Fiorito and Geovanni Ortiz of DAS Audio.
Fiorito was responsible for designing, managing and commissioning the new system, while Ortiz, a certified engineer by Rational Acoustic SMAART, took care of the optimization of the speakers.
According to Willy Rodriguez, director of Willy-Tech Services, "Brick is an outdoor nightclub, so it was very important to install a sound system that could withstand the inclement weather of Miami. We decided on an E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio system since it is the system for clubs with the best sound on the market, includes the best guarantee for customers and is also a very competitive system".
Technical details
In total, 12 ES-26 passive point source outdoor speakers were installed, incorporating two 6" transducers, an M-34 compression motor, and fixing points for wall mounting in a horizontal or vertical position. As well as eight passive point source speakers ES-212.
The latter, which are 2-way long-throw systems, include two 12" low-frequency speakers with diffuser and an M-78N neodymium compression engine. Eight OVI-12 speakers, and two Artec-308 2-way full-range passive speakers, both DAS Audio equipment, complete the system.
So, for audio processing, John Fiorito selected two ESP-260 DSPs, as Rodriguez explained: "With two inputs and six outputs, this processor provides quite a bit of flexibility. It has all the necessary features that make my job easier and make installation better."
E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio power amplifiers were also included. Specifically, an EP-6K4 four-channel amplifier that offers 1,200 watts per channel at four ohms and two EP-10K4 four-channel amplifiers that offer 2,100 watts per channel at four ohms.
In that sense, Rodriguez said: "We love working with DAS. John Fiorito is always very active in the company's E11EVEN Sound projects. They contact us quickly, which makes it easier to meet a project's deadlines."
Finally, Gregory Blanco, manager of the club, commented: "At Brick we are very happy with the new DAS sound system. The system sounds great and offers all the power we expected. John and his team have actively supported us during the project. As well as Willy Rodriguez, who also did a great job. We are very satisfied."
