Shure has announced its intention to sign an agreement to acquire Ab Wavemark Oy, a maker of software products for theater, film, television, broadcast and broadcast content applications. The acquisition will add Wavemark's products to Shure's portfolio of professional audio products.

This acquisition further reinforces Shure's strategic investment in software by giving audio technicians the tools needed to inspire confidence and take the guesswork out. The expanded software offering will be positioned alongside award-winning applications from Shure's portfolio such as the Wireless Workbench (WWB) 7.
Together, WAVETOOL and WWB offer audio engineers a complete set of tools to manage RF and monitor all audio sources throughout a production, from pre-show planning to monitoring and listening during the show, in order to achieve flawless audio performance.
