Shure Launches Microphone for Videography and Field Recording

Shure lanzó micrófono para videografía y grabación de campo

Latin America. Shure introduced its new MoveMic 88+ Wireless Stereo Microphone, revolutionizing mobile audio as the first direct-to-cellular wireless stereo microphone with selectable polar patterns.

Building on the success of Shure's acclaimed MV88 Digital Stereo Condenser Microphone and MV88+ Video Kit, the new wireless video microphone allows creators and videographers to record exceptional audio and video, separately, ensuring the best microphone placement without sacrificing the perfect shot.

With this latest addition to Shure's MoveMic portfolio, the MoveMic 88+ will take versatility to a whole new level. With four selectable polar patterns (stereo, cardioid, bidirectional, and raw mid-lateral), users can customize the audio capture direction to work in various scenarios: from two-way interviews, field recordings, and even acoustic presentations.

For example, in nature documentaries, a filmmaker must keep their distance to avoid disturbing wildlife, but still needs to have access to high-quality audio. With Shure's new wireless video microphone, creators can place it closer to the action, like in a bird's nest, capturing every nuance of audio for an immersive experience, while still getting the exact shot they want.

The MoveMic 88+ offers flexible mounting options, attaching to the most popular tripods or microphone stands, using the two included 5/8" microphone clips or hot shoe, and can even function as a handheld microphone.

To streamline workflow, the device pairs directly with your phone via Shure MOTIV apps without the need for the MoveMic receiver for an even lighter and more portable device. For added compatibility, the MoveMic 88+ can also be paired with the MoveMic receiver and connected via USB-C or 3.5mm to cameras, computers, and cellulars to support third-party mobile applications.
