After 35 years in the audio and video industry, Kevin Thompson, co-founder of the Whitlock Group, is retiring from active work although he will continue as a technical advisor to the company, thanks to his knowledge and innovative ideas."Kevin always emphasized the importance of teamwork and culture. Thanks to him, Whitlock built a powerful name through devotion to customer service and his passion for new technologies, almost like a 'mad scientist'. This is why we were always involved in launching innovative products," explained Doug Hall, CEO of Whitlock Group.
One of Thompson's greatest accomplishments was to unveil an almost unknown company in Virginia, with profits of less than $3 million a year and 18 employees, and make it the largest privately held integrated services company, with sales of $130 million annually, more than 400 employees and 22 offices across the U.S.
