United States. The Bowen Technovation design team selected Furman's PL-PRO DMC 20A power conditioners to protect and optimize the performance of the audio equipment of the new system installed at the Indiana Convention Center.
The center's expansion was completed last January, including 154,000 square meters of exhibition area, 63,000 square feet of meeting rooms and 103,000 square feet of pre-function space. The renovated center included new sound, pagination, intercom and video systems. A battery of Crown amplifiers, JBL and Tannoy speakers are located throughout the facility.
Furman protects these facilities with the PL-PRO DMC, which offers linear filtering (LiFT) technology for audio and video; the Multi-Stage Protection series for the highest level of surge protection available and Automatic Extreme Voltage Shutdown to protect connected equipment from hazardous high-voltage conditions.
"In facilities like this, energy management systems are critical to ensuring optimal performance from the most important audio equipment at all times," said Michael R. Cast, Jr., vice president of Fairchild Communication Systems, the project contractor.
