International. The mobile phone could be used to control and personalize home automation applications in the future thanks to the Haus project, Digital Home and audiovisual content adapted to users, which is being developed by researchers from the Instituto Tecnológico de Óptica, Color e Imagen AIDO.
The project, carried out in collaboration with Agile Contents, Aisoy Robotics, Alcatel Lucent, Mettre, Planet Media, Carlos III University, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Rey Juan Carlos University, seeks to facilitate the administration of this type of facilities by creating an efficient and simple solution.
The initiative will also allow the house to recognize the preferences of each of the users, in order to adapt the operation of the devices and recommend digital content according to the particular taste.
The institute said it hopes to refine and make available this type of technology within a year.
Likewise, the institution stressed in a statement that "this project pursues two objectives, on the one hand, that the user relates in an intuitive way with the home automation devices through the mobile phone, television or even through an assistant robot".
And he added that "we want each element of the home with which you can interact to identify the mobile device of each of the users, so that the system keeps an individualized record of the tastes and preferences of each of the people who live in the same house."
