International. Electronics designer, manufacturer and supplier Kramer and Calibre UK, a British electronics manufacturer, announced an agreement whereby they will unite their global sales, supply, development and business cooperation, through integrated products with a focus on innovation.
Calibre's key models for the Pro-AV and broadcast industries are to be incorporated into Kramer's product line in the fourth half of this year. This strengthens Kramer's range by adding a new line of premium climbers, including powerful low-latency processing, deformation, geometric correction and edge-mixing with models for fixed installation and rental and staging, as well as models aimed at LED videowalls and television broadcast studios.
With obvious customer benefits, the two companies have also agreed to work together to accelerate Calibre's future product developments and have ambitious plans to deploy a wide range of high-quality video processing, routing and control of market-leading products.
To support customers and the implementation of new product introductions, Kramer Electronics will supply the resources dedicated to supporting and commercializing these new models throughout the Kramer Electronics global network of more than 20 regional offices.
Tim Brooksbank, President at Calibre, will be leading this effort within Kramer. "Having spent our 25-year anniversary at Calibre, this cooperation with Kramer marks an exciting start to our next quarter century. This opens up access to a much wider market for our products and helps Kramer strengthen its presence in premium markets."
"This strategic cooperation with Calibre is of great benefit to both companies and to our customers alike," says Dr. Joseph Kramer, founder, CEO and president of Kramer Electronics and recently awarded the 2013 Pioneer AV Award.
