Latin America. Mexico's Maná and Lila Downs, Puerto Ricans Calle 13 and Colombia's Juanes, sponsors Shure, were awarded at the 16th Latin Grammy Ceremony. The delivery took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured more than a dozen live performances with some of the biggest stars in Latin music.
The hosts of the show Jacqueline Bracamontes and Roselyn Sánchez were in charge of presenting a series of shows, such as Maná (UHF-R/SM58) with their countrymen Los Tigres del Norte (UHF-R/BETA 54), J Balvin (UHF-R/KSM9), Paula Fernandes (UHF-R/KSM9) with Alejandro Sanz (UHF-R/KSM9), Prince Royce (Super 55), Bomba Estéreo (UHF-R/SM58) with Will Smith (UHF-R/SM58) and Juan Luis Guerra (UHF-R/SM58).
Maná picked up the award for best pop rock album, for "Cama Incendiada", released in April of this year. Mexico won another Grammy with singer Lila Downs, who stood out in the Best Folk Album category for "Balas y chocolate", released in March 2015.
Puerto Rican hip hop duo Calle 13 and Colombian singer Juanes, meanwhile, were awarded in the video categories. Calle 13 won the gramophone for best short version music video, for his collaboration with Silvio Rodríguez in the clip "Ojos color sol"; while the South American was awarded in the category best music video long version for "Loco de amor 'La historia'".
The most important awards of the Latin American music industry, were showcased with great interpretations and tributes, leaving the name of Latin music high. Shure's reliability once again assured its users of exceptional sound quality, again becoming the preferred brand of production equipment, adapting to exceptional conditions.
