InfoComm. Bose Professional presented a new range of adaptable power amplifiers, it is the Bose PowerShare line consisting of three 1U models: two fixed installation models of 2 and 4 channels (PS602 and PS604) and a portable amplifier of 2 channels (PS602P).
Each model offers a power of 600W that can be shared between all output channels. PowerShare amplifiers adapt to a wide range of applications, as they are compatible with high and low impedance loads of up to 100 V. They incorporate configurable speaker processing and direct access to zone controllers, which, in many installations, will eliminate the need for an additional signal processor.
This new line guarantees superb levels of reliability and outstanding audio performance, as they use patented technologies that are heritage of the PowerMatch® line, synonymous with proven effectiveness. The sum of this unique set of features and technologies makes PowerShare one of the most versatile high-performance amplifiers available today.
Patented by Bose, PowerShare technology supports the shared asymmetric use of all amplifier power across its various outputs. Thanks to this innovation, instead of selecting the power of the amplifier according to the needs of the larger area, installers now have a flexible option that will allow them to use the full power of the amplifier in the application. This provides greater flexibility at the initial stage of the design or later, when making unplanned changes that take advantage of surplus power in the same facility.
PowerShare amplifiers use the DFL (Dual Feedback Loop) system, inherited from Bose's PowerMatch line of amplifiers, which improves their performance and reliability through continuous control and monitoring of both the current and voltage supplied to each output load. This combination provides improved linearity and less distortion, while providing protection to the speaker. In addition, each channel can be configured for low impedance (4-8 Ω) or high impedance (70/100 V) applications without the need for bridging, jumpering or software adjustments.
For applications that require additional signal processing, PowerShare Editor software offers real-time control and selection of Bose speaker equalizer settings, 9-band parametric equalizer, mixing, crossover, limiters, delay, mute/polarity output via a USB connection. For basic configurations without using a PC, the back panel settings allow you to recover the equalization of the Bose speaker and its protection by output channel. These features eliminate the need for an external signal processor in many applications.
