Latin America. Tripp Lite launched a new line of UPS systems consisting of three models of the SmartOnline family. These are highly versatile online double conversion devices designed for critical network and server applications for IT rooms and data centers.
This new line is integrated by the SUINT1500LCD2U, SUINT2200LCD2U and SUINT3000LCD2U units with capacities of 1500, 2200 and 3000 Volt Amps (VA) respectively. All feature interactive LCDs on the front, making it easy to read operating conditions, charge levels and battery status.
One of the most outstanding features of this new line is that they offer advanced configuration options that allow the selection of the nominal output voltage. The user can choose between 200, 208, 220, 230 and 240V. This optionality allows use in any global market by configuring the user himself according to their needs and types of local energy supplies.
In addition to occupying spaces of only 2U (rack units) in cabinets, UPSs are ideal for critical voice, data, hospital and industrial applications that require Alternating Current (AC) with fully regulated (pure) sine wave. They also have nominal suppression values of overvoltages of 570 joules.
Tripp Lite UPS systems offer different built-in Power Strategy (EE) options that allow each device to optimize performance to meet user needs for operation with maximum power quality, maximum efficiency, frequency regulation or frequency conversion. Each EE option allows the UPS to automatically switch between specific operating modes as dictated by the power and UPS status.
For greater versatility, these Tripp lite UPSs have custom configurations of use that allow a more efficient administration to the user. Some of them are the definition of overload thresholds and low battery levels for alert and shutdown; selection of automatic restart conditions or system restart scheduling if the USB signal of the connected device is lost; and remote support of on or off via DB9 serial communication interface, among others.
Other features related to backup that are worth mentioning are, for example, that the new UPS allow the addition of external batteries for greater autonomy; the use of smart battery modules -such as the BP72V18-2US of Tripp Lite- that allow the automatic detection of them and their configuration during replacement. These models allow for battery-free restart to ensure automatic upS ignition after prolonged blackouts (without user intervention), even with expired batteries requiring final replacement.
Tripp Lite's new UPS systems are certified by the U.S. Protection Agency, Energy Star, which qualifies them as energy savers (and consequently money savers) and enabled for use without harm to the environment. In addition, they have the high power factor of 0.9. They also comply with global quality and environmental protection standards such as CE, IEC62040-1:2008, UL 1778, CSA and EAC.
