Latin America. Boxlight and Globisens unveiled their new offering with the GlobiLab app for Chromebook laptops. The origin of the Chromebook application came after the company realized that it had become a unique tool for the education sector in recent years, many users were restricted to a limited number of applications available for this platform, particularly in science education.
"As part of our tradition of pioneering technologies, we are offering one of the first science education apps for Chromebook," said Dov Bruker CEO of Globisens. "We've adapted our proven and successful GlobiLab, allowing science to be in the hands of millions of Chromebook users.
GlobiLab's software communicates wirelessly with Labdisc's compact multi-sensor devices, enabling complete configuration and control of devices. Graphical and metered data present real-time data, allowing students to quickly measure their world and analyze data samples.
The software's sophisticated data analysis features help students have expert scientific answers, allowing users to perform regression and derivative functions, as well as detailed statistics.
GlobiLab also combines the latest in sensor, internet and satellite technologies so that students can graphically represent measurement data on a Google map, allowing them to have a map with local pollution or weather conditions to compare their data with other schools – opening the door to meaningful collaboration between students around the world.
Globisens had already leveraged the iOS design and versatility of Android to help the faculty and students who do the bulk of GlobiLab," said Pat Henry, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Boxlight.
