Latin America. Powersoft has announced its latest version of Harmony Pro Audio Suite software. This release brings an innovative interactive tuning feature that not only improves the measurement and alignment process of a sound system, but also allows the user to work without noise in an immediate surrounding environment.
Harmony v2.10 now has full integration with Rational Acoustic's Smaart v8 which can read imported or shared location tracks (smart, txt, csv, xml) in real time. The technology supports the new interactive tuning plugin, opening up an impressive variety of features for the user, such as offline manipulation with EQ, Gain, Polarity, Delay, Sum, Average, Fusion, among many others.
As Luigi Chelli, System Engineering Manager at Powersoft explains: "The concept of measuring and tuning a sound system has now been modified with Harmony. Forget about the grueling Pink Noise listening sessions and complex multi-microphone setups. 'Measure once and do the set-up quietly' is the key concept."
The new workflow for silent offline tuning requires simply a few initial measurements before completing the process in virtual simulation.
Greybox Integration
EAW Greybox configurations have been integrated into Harmony. Once loaded as a route in the Harmony options, greyboxes are available on the speaker settings page, complete with an extensive series of options available to perfectly calibrate the sound on the speakers. Options include air loss compensation and amplifier size.
Equalizer Control
Powersoft has included improvements to the EQ display in this latest release. Along with optimized graphics, rearranged automatic frequency filters keep the most commonly used filters always at hand.
Support for Quattrocanali and Duecanali
The latest version of Harmony is also the first public release since the recent introduction of the Quattrocanali 1204, 2404 and 4804 amplifiers, as well as the Duecanali 1604. As such, the software update fully supports the control and monitoring of standard non-DSP versions of these models, giving access to control Gain, Mute, Maximum Output Voltage, in addition to measurement, failures and alerts.
Other additions to the latest Harmony software release include an expanded preset library featuring, among many others, official BOSE SM Series presets, DAS Aero Series, custom d&b Max12-15, and custom NEXO GeoT. Firmware for all supported devices will also be included in the installation package. Harmony will alert the user to update the firmware of the device and benefit from all recent improvements.
Harmony v2.10 software also supports multiple serial ports at once in the Communication Manager and provides minor improvements in the X Series, DSP4 and other models.
The new release is ready to be downloaded from the revamped website dedicated to Harmony recently launched. The site – http://armonia.powersoft.it – offers users a quick review of the main features of the software, as well as the latest Harmony tutorial videos.
The download process has also been improved and registration on the Powersoft website is no longer required.
