Latin America. Audio-Technica presented its new cardioid condenser microphone AT5047. Eun high-end studio microphone that features the same capsule as the AT5040 model, but with a transformer-coupled output and improved electronics. Ideal for both voices and instruments.
Thanks to an exceptionally wide dynamic range (the widest of all Audio-Technica microphones), the AT5047 is able to capture all the expressive character of a sound source, regardless of how loud or smooth it is. And being equipped with a transformer-coupled output, the microphone maintains a constant load output impedance, even when capturing sources with an extreme sound pressure level, which translates into a stable relationship between the microphone and a microphone preamplifier or console input.
The AT5047 microphone features four rectangular diaphragms with a thickness of two microns that work together to provide a combined surface area twice that of a standard one-inch circular diaphragm. Unique components carefully selected and optimized for maximum performance and compatibility with a wide range of microphone preamps and console inputs. Advanced anti-vibration support that decouples the capsule from the microphone body, and the included innovative AT8480 anti-vibration stand that offers extraordinary insulation.
With an elegant and sturdy aluminium and brass housing, each AT5047 microphone has been assembled by hand and subjected to rigorous quality control. Custom hard case with die-cut foam compartments that offer protection during storage and transport.
