Tripp Lite offers solutions for medical facilities

Latin America. Tripp Lite announced the availability of its full range of solutions for medical facilities and patient care environments.

The company manufactures more than 3500 solutions that are integrated into all clinical and hospital spaces to feed and connect medical and non-medical equipment -such as IT and peripheral equipment- that support the continuity and operability of the service in areas of outpatient, outpatient, hospitalization and critical care of the patient.

Sam Atassi, Vice President of Tripp Lite for Latin America, explained that the company's solutions simplify and improve patient care to the extent that they increase safety and allow institutions to meet the standards of quality, good service and satisfaction for the users of the services they provide. "Our solutions provide reliable support and power that help avoid data errors and process interruptions that can delay diagnoses, compromise patient care and waste resources."

Atassi pointed out that in all the enclosures dedicated to patient care, electronic devices are used for the registration, analysis, diagnosis and treatment of people with conditions directly and indirectly, and even signaling and visualization solutions are implemented that allow sending messages, advertising services, organizing and entertaining those who wait their turn to be attended by doctors, auxiliary and nursing staff.  "In Tripp Lite we have an infrastructure, visualization, energy protection and connectivity solution that supports every need in this type of facility," said the executive.

Tripp Lite solutions can be deployed in environments such as laboratories, operating rooms, patient care areas (rooms, examination, emergency and operations rooms), mobile equipment and stations, medical and administrative data processing centers, administration, control  and admission offices and hospital reception and information centers. To name a few, the following solutions are listed:

  • UPS Systems: UPS systems provide reliable, uninterrupted power for critical equipment that protects against damage in patient care areas, laboratories, operating rooms, data centers, administration and reception areas, and security stations. Tripp Lite provides UPS models for IT equipment and also specifically medical grade for these purposes.
  • Contact bars and suppressors: Contact bars and suppressors provide additional contacts to provide power for electronic and IT devices housed in medical facilities. In addition, the company provides IEC-60601-1 compliant contact bars and hospital-grade suppressors to protect patients in routine and critical care areas.
  • Cars and mobile power stations: These stations are mobilized to provide constant and safe power supplies to ultrasound machines, cameras and other mobile diagnostic equipment. These solutions eliminate any possibility that appliances will have to be restarted every time they are used within the same space or room because they are constantly connected to a power source.
  • Insulation transformers: They eliminate power problems by providing complete line isolation because they ensure a constant and safe power source for critical spaces such as operating rooms, laboratories and radiology, among others.
  • Visualization solutions: The company provides a large number of cabling solutions (connection, data transmission, audio, video and energy), connectivity solutions and supports for screens that support digital signage systems in reception areas, waiting rooms, auditoriums and telemedicine centers to improve communications with patients and colleagues.
  • Medical Grade Power Cables: They are specifically designed to provide secure connections for medical equipment, computers, and peripherals used in clinical care areas. They come in different lengths and with pins for grounding and models with transparent plugs so that users can monitor the status (integrity) of the cables and their connections at any time.
  • IT Infrastructure Solutions: Tripp Lite has a complete line of products and solutions that power, protect, organize, connect, and cool equipment in computer processing centers and network rooms that provide IT services within public and private clinics and hospitals. Tripp Lite solutions provide infrastructure, connectivity and power protection that meet the world's leading security standards to simplify ongoing management and availability in critical facilities that require it.

"In hospitals, clinics and medical facilities, electronic devices and medical devices of high monetary cost and indispensable value for medical diagnoses and treatments are fundamental," said Atassi. "Tripp Lite provides solutions for each medical environment in such a way that they ensure, facilitate and improve the care of patients in clinical and hospital environments that require it so much," concluded the executive.
