Chile. The Chilean authorities will launch a plan that seeks to highlight the architecture of the most emblematic buildings of its capital, Santiago, by lighting their facades.
The first on the list to intervene is the Museum of Fine Arts, in which, during the first half of 2013, 300 LED luminaires will be installed. For the works, the company Citeluz was designated, which has the experience in this type of interventions in buildings in Europe and Asia, thanks to its subsidiary in France. The museum's lighting includes its glass dome, to which blue lights will be installed
The technical evaluation carried out at the Museum by the professionals in charge of the intervention, pointed out that the current lighting has several damaged equipment. That is why they proposed LED technology that will facilitate energy savings and greater control over the entire installation.
One of the most outstanding details of the work is the added value that will give the area the lighting of this building, which is located in the center of the Forest Park, a newly remodeled park and that, like the building, is an icon of the city.
In addition, on only one side of the building will be installed 180 of the 300 LED luminaires required. In total, they will invest 60 million Chilean pesos in the lighting of public buildings.
