Mexico. The local authorities of Guadalajara are executing a plan called Luz y Vida al centro, through which they are illuminating sites of public interest in different places.
The first place intervened was the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady of the Blessed Virgin Mary, better known as the Cathedral of Guadalajara, a building that was completed in 1618. Today it has lighting that highlights the entirety of its architecture, whose cost was 12 million Mexican pesos, which was covered by the Tourism Trust of the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, and whose assembly was in charge of the company Egea Citellum.
For the lighting of the new lighting, a 3D mapping was presented in which the evolution of light was described, from fire and lightning to new technology, in addition to the history of the Cathedral.
It was announced that six other historic buildings in the city will be artistically illuminated. The second place, in which he has already begun his intervention, is the Paseo Chapultepec and which will later be joined by the monument to the Children Heroes. About 14.5 million Mexican pesos will be invested in both. Then they will continue with the Municipal Palace, the Rotunda and the temple of San José de Analco.
