Latin America. Extron introduced the CTM Plus 84 D, an Ethernet controller that is used to control common AV functions such as power, input and volume switching. As part of the new MediaLink Plus Series, it has been designed with more powerful features, increased security and Ethernet control.
It features eleven soft-touch backlit buttons and a variety of ports and supplies, including a volume remote control port for use with certain Extron amplifiers. Power over Ethernet - PoE allows the controller to receive power and communications over a single Ethernet cable.
"The MLC Plus 84 series are Extron's first pushbutton controllers that can take advantage of the advanced configuration options within our new GC and GC Pro Plus software. They are also the first of their kind to include Ethernet control for a wide variety of AV devices, allowing them to control remotely from anywhere on the customer's network," said Casey Hall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Extron.
The MLC Plus 84 D is configured using Extron's Global Configurator Plus or Global Configurator Professional software. It also integrates with Extron GlobalViewer Enterprise software for complete AV resource monitoring, management and control of a computer network.
