International. Hall Research is launching the integrated U2-160-4 USB 2.0 extender with 4-Port Hub, which uses standard Cat6 cables to extend high-speed data up to 480 Mbps up to 160 feet (50 meters).
It is driver and cross-platform free, so it can be connected without problems to a PC with any operating system. The operations center at the remote end makes it capable of connecting multiple USB devices such as printers, high-definition webcams, KVMs, smart boards, and more.
In most applications, no additional power connection is needed because power is drawn from the host and sent over the CAT5e/6 cable. A universal power supply is included and can be connected to the remote hub with the use of high-power USB devices.
Among its features are:
- Support for any high speed (480 Mb/ s), full speed (12 Mb / s) or low speed (1.5 Mb / s) of a USB device.
- It allows you to connect a USB device that is located remotely up to 50 meters (164 feet).
