Latin America. Sony enters the portable mini projector market with the new MP-CL1. This Portable HD Projector uses a laser light source to deliver images in HD (1920 x 720) and high contrast (80,000:1) resolution for accurate and vibrant color production.
This pocket projector with short viewing distance can project an image of up to 120 inches at a distance of only 3.45 meters. Because it has a built-in battery, the MP-CL1 can be used anywhere, whether inside or outside the home and even in business environments to make presentations.
Using Sony's laser beam technology (LBS)[1], this processing system allows the MP-CL1 to project images in high resolution. This technology also offers clear and sharp projection with a wide color gamut and more contrast compared to conventional panel systems.
In addition, the MP-CL1 allows you to project a clear image thanks to its free focus functionality, which makes your image have the perfect focus even when projected on uneven or curved surfaces. Another outstanding feature is the autofocus, as it makes the PORTABLE HD Projector detect the distance to the screen and automatically focus the image without the need for manual adjustments.
Thanks to LBS technology, projected images will be fluid and leave no trace even in fast-moving action scenes. This projector also has manual correction of the keystone distortion (vertical and horizontal) to achieve a uniform image regardless of the angle of inclination of the projector.
Despite its tiny size, the MP-CL1 offers several connection options. In addition to connecting to a computer or PlayStation 4 via HDMI, this projector can interact with a smartphone or tablet via MHL. In the same way, the mirror function of the screen allows you to wirelessly reflect the content of your smartphone, tablet or computer.
This incredibly portable device features an aluminum body and matte finish. It also has a 3400mAh battery that allows you to enjoy uninterrupted entertainment and without the need for cables for up to 2 hours, in addition to serving as an auxiliary battery to recharge other power devices via USB. The MP-CL1 also comes with a mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter, a micro-USB cable, and a two-position stand.
The MP-CL1 HD Portable Projector will be available in selected Latin American countries from October 2015.
