- In five days begins the first Congress and commercial exhibition on the integration of audio, video and lighting
- Industrial signage equipment can be used 24 hours continuously
- LED displays consume 40% less energy than LCDs and Plasma
Next week professionals from the audio, video and lighting industry will meet in Plaza Mayor, Medellín, Colombia to exchange knowledge, experiences and share ideas, in addition to learning new elements about the multimedia industry.
Day by day this sector is gaining more strength in the country and the region. According to data provided by Cristina Montilla, commercial director of Automa (distributor of LFD screens, Large Format Display, for industrial use for residential applications), sales of signage screens in Colombia increased by 14%, because digital advertising attracts more attention than static images. He also explained that most companies invest in new signaling technologies, but not in quality content, so it is necessary to integrate both aspects for the development of this technology to be effective.
It should be noted that when advertising is carried out through digital signage equipment, attention increases by 60% more than in printed billboards.
Shopping centers, banks, supermarkets, airports, chain stores, large companies and government institutions are the sectors that are most implementing this type of advertising and technology.
Regarding this implementation trend, Cristina said that so far in 2010 the reception of this technology in Colombia has been important. "According to the market we manage, between 20 and 40 digital billboards are being implemented monthly in the country."
These new advertising technologies, as well as the different developments of audio, video and lighting will be from November 4 to 5, 2010 at TecnoMultimedia 2010. (Image provided by Automa)
