Over the years, the demand for information transmitted through audio and video has increased. More and more people are making these technologies the most complete communication system, hence the importance of training audiovisual communication professionals in the design of facilities for the transmission of information. Reason why, between March 5 and 7 at the Sheraton Hotel in the city of Bogotá, the second module of the course on the design of audiovisual installations was held, organized by InfoComm International, an association at the service of the professional of the audiovisual communication industry.
"This course is aimed at people who have at least one year of experience in the audiovisual industry, technical and sales professionals to better understand the needs of their customers and not only sell equipment, but can deliver solutions and clearly identify the desire of a client who does not know how to correctly express what they need," said instructor Nelson Baumgratz.
Planning, design and construction
The audiovisual installation design course is programmed in three modules.
First module: based on science and the components of what needs to be measured to have an audiovisual system. The conditions of brightness, contrast, sound, pressure and the distribution of the speakers are studied.
Second module: the buildings are studied, the entire environment of the audiovisual system, we talk about the necessary conditions, the acoustics, the entire infrastructure, the lighting conditions, the requirements to serve people with disabilities, everything that is related to the environment and the environment where an audiovisual system will be placed.
Third module: the two previous levels converge and a whole system is built with the knowledge and information acquired.
"The foundation of these meetings is to train people, raise the level and give them practices; that we all begin to standardize and evaluate things so that the end customer benefits, not only having a better service from the suppliers, but having the knowledge to distinguish between who is offering a half-hearted service and who is offering a complete service "says Juan Fernando Montoya, Sales Manager of Bosch Security Systems, sponsoring company of the course.
"The third module will be available in the first half of 2010 and We will return to Bogotá in October, with a course on facility design 1 and a course for installation technicians, aimed at people who execute on site the installation of equipment and wiring." Rodrigo Casassus Coke, regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Infocomm International, told us.
