Absen installs screens at HSBC Business School

absen, hsbc, International. Peking University's HSBC Business School (PHBS) was founded in 2004 with the vision of promoting Peking University's involvement in economics, finance and global management research. The school has just installed different solutions from the company Absen.

Specifically, ten Absenicon sets were installed, including 9 Absenicon C220 sets and 1 Absenicon C165 set, including its conference room that can accommodate more than 1,000 people, the terraced classrooms, and the financial lab.

Absen's project manager of this PHBS case, Justin Ouyang, commented: "The entire project was completed in two phases that lasted 10 months from January 2020 to October 2020." For the first phase of the project, it was the installation of an Absenicon C165 in the financial laboratory on the fifth floor of the teaching building and an Absenicon C220 in the terrace classroom on the same floor in January 2020.

And for the second phase, it included the installation of 1 Absenicon C220 set in the terrace classroom on the fifth floor of the teaching building and 7 Sets of Absenicon C220 in the large conference room with capacity for more than 1,000 seats, which was the biggest challenge of the entire project.

The conference room is used for gala festivals, large conferences and large gatherings for all students and faculties. Before the installation of Absenicons, the conference room was equipped with several LCD screens.

"There are limits to the LCD when it comes to size and visual performance. If you sit next to or behind this conference room, you will hardly be able to see the content presented. The bezels on the screen also affect the audience's viewing experience: if a conference is held during the day, ambient light makes it difficult for even the audience to sit in front to see the content presented clearly, not to mention the audience sitting in the back," Justin added. "That's why the PHBS desperately needed to find a new product and a solution to solve all the above problems. And Absenicon was finally chosen for his unparalleled advantages."

To meet customers' needs for an optimal visual experience for every attendee in the conference room, Absen has designed a solution for this project. Absenicon has been designed to fit all known spaces, such as training rooms, boardrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums in companies, governments, higher education, schools, hospitals, banks and other indoor environments that require a reliable fixed screen solution for effective communication. Considering the large surface area of this conference room, 7 sets of Absenicons were installed, 5 sets in the middle of the back of the stage flanked by 2 sets on the side that can allow side-by-side viewing of both the presenter and his presentation material. .

Absenicon allows for an open and bright meeting space with promising adjustable brightness levels from 0 to 350 nits, allowing users to choose the right brightness to suit different environments, whether dark or bright. The adjustable brightness makes the content of the conference during the day very clear to the audience, ensuring visual performance.

Compared to the LCD screen, in addition to the high brightness, the LED also features high image quality and the ability to create large integrated video walls. Absenicon features a 110% color gamut and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, promising exceptional images with more accurate and rich colors. The LED display aims to provide a completely bezel-less display and eliminates the distracting dark lines associated with LCD video wall technology.
