InfoComm. AVIXA announced that the InfoComm Show, initially scheduled for the month of June, has been rescheduled for the month of October at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, due to the Covid19 pandemic.
AVIXA CEO David Labuskes highlighted that "In January, after receiving the opportunity to explore new dates, we collected feedback from key stakeholders and industry opinions, where we received overwhelming support for a postponement. As excited as the community is about the program, and as hopeful and optimistic as we remain in the fight against the pandemic, it is believed that the United States will be more advanced in the battle against the pandemic in October than in June."
He added that "Since the first few months of this global crisis, we have done our best to prioritize the long-term interests of our AVIXA members and the InfoComm community across the professional audiovisual industry. We have not made this decision to postpone it lightly and have relied on a lot of feedback from the InfoComm community, and we thank you for getting involved with us and supporting this decision."
