Latin America. Barco's Demetra digital skin imaging system is now interconnected with Modernizing Medicine's electronic medical record (EMR).
This interface will create a seamless workflow to reduce the time required by providers to capture, analyze, and store dermoscopic images. Demetra provides the opportunity to improve patient care by providing visualizations and insights that support the physician's decision on management strategies, diagnosis, treatments, and follow-ups with their patients.
"We are excited to announce Demetra's interface with Modernizing Medicine EMR. This will allow dermatologists to connect our innovative analysis and imaging technology into their standard workflows and into their daily practice. Dermatology practices are getting busier and busier, so we're happy to have found a way to bring efficiency to the way they work," said Peter Kinhan, Vice President of Demetra.
Tom Kimpe, Chief Technology Officer at Barco Healthcare, said, "Demetra's interface with Modernizing Medicine is a great opportunity for our clinical partners to benefit from both Demetra's cutting-edge technology and Modernizing Medicine's industry-leading EMR. We look forward to continuing to partner with Modernizing Medicine as Demetra further innovates in the field of dermoscopic imaging."
