International. The ScreenBeam-branded USB Pro Switch helps integrate rooms with unified communications (UC) by allowing meetings to coexist seamlessly with Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) and facilitating wireless presentations by intelligently sharing resources.
This solution offers automated USB device sharing to expand room functionality, enabling BYOM wireless connection and sharing content wirelessly during a Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) session, so wireless presentation in the room does not require a single collaboration or unified communications platform.
Mike Ehlenberger, vice president of ScreenBeam, commented, "Organizations are bringing employees back to the office, which requires flexible and reliable meeting spaces. So, meeting spaces in the office are significant investments and should never be closed or limited to a single technical solution. The ScreenBeam USB Pro Switch, combined with the ScreenBeam 1100 Plus, unlocks maximum value from your meeting room investment and expands communication options far beyond a dedicated unified communications solution. The best part is that everything is fully automatic, which makes the user experience natural and seamless."
Specifically, the aforementioned combination allows USB video conferencing devices to automatically switch between wireless BYOM (enabled by ScreenBeam Conference) and wired BYOM using the HDMI input and the USB Pro Switch. Moreover, the brand ensures that both devices (USB Pro Switch and 1100 Plus) include technology and features to meet the strictest requirements of commercial and higher education users, such as automated and intelligent switching of room resources, where peripherals are available, without manual intervention.
For example, in a room configured with MTR, the USB Pro Switch will automatically switch the camera, microphone, and speakers in the room to the ScreenBeam 1100 Plus for instant access through the host of a BYOM session. After the BYOM meeting is over, resources will be automatically switched back to the MTR, where they will be available for use.
Finally, another added value of the ScreenBeam USB Pro Switch is that it allows annotation on touch screens. What's more, due to a co-engineering partnership with Microsoft, this device natively supports Microsoft Windows Ink throughout Microsoft Office 365, in addition, with Ghost Inking technology it eliminates wireless annotation latency to offer a natural pen-to-paper experience.
