International. Tripp Lite began its commercial life as a manufacturer of headlights for automobiles in 1922. 100 years later and after being acquired by Eaton, it projects new opportunities and increases its growth indicators.
Tripp Lite is a recognized provider of distributed IT solutions, including: uninterruptible power supplies, surge protectors, connectivity products, network accessories and audio-visual products.
Recall that Tripp Lite was acquired by Eaton in March 2021. Consequently, this year it implemented a makeover to emphasize this new business dynamic, which has made its business a key part of the Digital Infrastructure and Critical Energy division of the energy management giant.
Glen Haeflinger, senior vice president and general manager, Distributed IT Solutions, Eaton, commented, "We owe our century of success to the partners, customers and employees whose trust and loyalty led us to this celebration. Now, as part of the Eaton family, we are excited for the next 100 years of accelerated growth and the opportunity to continue to deliver innovative IT solutions, backed by unwavering customer support."
Chris Butler, President of Digital Infrastructure and Critical Energy at Eaton, said: "It's exciting that two large companies, like ours, started in the automotive segment and, over the years, built strong brands in the IT sector. The acquisition of Tripp Lite greatly expanded our portfolio and capabilities in distributed IT and edge applications."
In addition, I assure that the recognition of Tripp Lite and its longevity was given, more than for its products, for its success with customers and continuous improvement. Butler concluded that "that passion will be the guiding light as we face the challenges of the next 100 years together."
Finally, the company will celebrate its anniversary with events and activities in its different headquarters, also aimed at its customers, throughout the remainder of this 2022.
